Custom Biker Badges and Motorcycle Patches with a Two-Step Approval Process

Free mockup, expert design checks, and no upfront payment required. At EmbroideryBadge.UK, we produce biker badges and motorcycle patches for clubs that value heritage, durability, and consistency. Consequently, our work supports everything from traditional motorcycle clubs to classic scooter and Mod rally groups across the UK. Specifically, from coastal gatherings around :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} to long-established scooter clubs along the :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}, our patches are built to be worn, not just displayed.

Built for UK Scooter, Mod, and Motorcycle Heritage

For heritage scooter and Mod scenes, a patch represents miles travelled and events attended. Therefore, we design badges that sit naturally on fishtail parkas, denim vests, leather jackets, and canvas rally gear. In addition, our team understands the visual balance required for large back patches, arm-filler badges, and clean club identifiers.

  • Mod & Scooter Aesthetic: Large back patches and smaller fillers designed to suit vintage silhouettes.
  • Traditional Materials: Felt and twill bases selected to match 1960s–70s heritage garments.
  • Mixed Media Precision: Printed detail combined with embroidery where designs demand clarity.

Road-Tested Durability for Real Riding Conditions

Because riding gear faces wind, UV exposure, rain, and vibration, our biker patches are engineered for long-haul durability. As a result, we avoid shortcuts that compromise performance once a patch is on the road.

  • Colourfast Threads: Industrial embroidery threads resist fading and fibre breakdown.
  • Stitched-On Security: We recommend stitched backings for heavy denim, canvas, and cordura garments.
  • Reinforced Merrow Borders: Overlocked edges reduce fraying and maintain shape over time.

Expert Design Review — Human, Not Software

With over 35+ years of textile experience and more than 1.5 million designs digitised, our specialists review every biker badge manually. Therefore, if artwork is too dense or unsuitable for the intended size, we advise at mockup stage before production begins.

Let’s get started! First ensure you obtain permission from the club to reproduce their artwork. If you’d like us to match your badge to an existing badge, please provide all the details (badge type/amount/size/border/backgrounds/backings/colours) and for greater accuracy, please ensure the badge picture is clear and taken from an aerial angle.  Otherwise, please provide a high  resolution file with any new badge designs for us to accurately copy. If you have any pantone references that is always a bonus!

Decide how you’d like to attach the badge to the uniform. There are three methods:

Iron on

Badges can be ironed on or heat pressed onto the garments (manual stitching is also recommended for greater durability).

Embroidery applique

The badge is outlined on an embroidery machine to give a fantastic finish.

Manual stitching

The badge is stitched by hand or by sewing machine.

Our art team will send various mock-ups for your approval – you will have 100% control over this to ensure the product perfectly matches your initial design.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum order starts from 25 pieces per design. This allows motorcycle clubs, scooter groups, and Mod rally organisers to place manageable orders while still benefiting from higher volume discounts when required.

Can you replicate a vintage club patch from the 1960s or 70s?

Yes. We regularly recreate heritage motorcycle and scooter patches from photographs or existing samples. Our team preserves the original proportions and character while upgrading materials to ensure modern durability and colour stability.

Do you produce large back patches for fishtail parkas and riding jackets?

Absolutely. We manufacture large-format back patches, including sizes up to 30cm, designed specifically for fishtail parkas, denim vests, and touring jackets. Reinforced stitching ensures the patch remains flat and visually sharp over time.

What is the best way to attach patches to motorcycle or scooter jackets?

For riding gear and heavy garments, we strongly recommend sew-on attachment. This provides maximum security against wind pressure, vibration, rain, and long-term wear. Heat-seal backing is not advised for riding jackets.

Are your backings glued on?

No. All heavy-duty backings, including Hook & Loop options, are securely stitched to the badge. This prevents peeling caused by heat, moisture, or prolonged outdoor use.

Can you match an existing badge or embroidered design?

Yes. We can match existing badges using Pantone references, shade cards, photographs, or physical samples. If an exact match is not achievable, we will advise clearly before sampling begins.

How soon can I expect my order?

Embroidered and printed patches typically ship within 7–10 days. Woven badges usually require 2–3 weeks due to the weaving process. More complex or specialist designs may vary slightly.

Can I see a photograph of the finished badge before full production?

Yes. We operate a two-stage approval process. First, you approve a digital mockup. Once approved, we produce and share photographs of the actual stitched badge for final confirmation before bulk production begins.

Can I order a physical sample before committing to the full quantity?

Most customers are happy approving from production photos. However, if required, physical samples are available at £30 + VAT plus tracked postage. Please note that requesting a physical sample can add up to 9 days to delivery.

What is Digital Mock-up approval?

During the digital mock-up stage, we create a computer-generated visual showing layout, proportions, and colours. Amendments at this stage are free and ensure the design is correct before sampling.

What is production or physical sample approval?

After digital approval, we produce the badge and share photographs of the stitched result. Amendments at this stage are chargeable, as they require reworking the design before production continues.

What file types and formats are accepted?

High-resolution JPEG, PNG, or PDF files are ideal. Clear photographs taken from directly above the badge are also suitable. If you have other formats, please let us know.

Why Clubs Trust EmbroideryBadge.uk for Repeat Orders

Motorcycle clubs, scooter groups, and rally organisers return to EmbroideryBadge.uk because consistency matters more than one-off results. Therefore, once a design is approved, we archive specifications to ensure future reorders match size, colour, and construction exactly.

In addition, our experience supporting annual rallies, commemorative runs, and growing memberships allows clubs to add new members or event editions without redesigning from scratch. Consequently, organisers avoid variation, delays, and unexpected costs.

Because our reviews are handled by experienced specialists rather than automated software, clubs receive clear guidance when a design needs adjustment for durability or scale. As a result, issues are resolved before production, not after delivery.
