Decide how you’d like to attach the badge to the uniform. There are three methods:

Iron on

Badges can be ironed on or heat pressed onto the garments (manual stitching is also recommended for greater durability).

Embroidery applique

The badge is outlined on an embroidery machine to give a fantastic finish.

Manual stitching

The badge is stitched by hand or by sewing machine.

What is the minimum order?

Can you match our existing badge or direct embroidery design?

Yes, our design team can recreate your existing badge or embroidery design accurately. You can provide Pantone references or select colours from our shade card. If you prefer, post your current badge to us, and we’ll match the threads and details as closely as possible before production begins.

How soon will my order be ready?

For Scout and Girlguiding badges, embroidered and sublimation badges are normally ready within seven to ten working days. Woven badges take around two to three weeks. Specialist badges or custom finishes may take slightly longer, but we always confirm timelines before production starts.

Can I see a photograph of the finished badge before confirming?

Yes. Our process includes two approvals. The first step is the Digital Mockup, where we send a computer-generated preview showing layout, colours, and text. Once you approve that, we produce a Production Sample, take a high-resolution photograph, and share it for your confirmation. This two-step approach ensures every detail is right before full production begins.

Can I order a sample before placing the full order?

Most Scout and Girlguiding groups approve from photographs, but you can order a physical sample if needed. The cost is £30 + VAT plus tracked and signed postage from Brentwood, UK. Creating a physical sample adds up to nine days to the total delivery timeline.

What is Digital Mockup approval?

During the Digital Mockup approval stage, we create a detailed computer image of your badge. You can confirm text, layout, and colour accuracy. Amendments are free at this step, though each revision may slightly extend production time. Once approved, we proceed to the production sample stage.

What is Production or Physical Sample approval?

After you approve the digital version, we produce the actual badge and send a clear photograph for your review. If you request any further changes at this point, there is an additional charge since physical work has already started. Once you approve the final sample, we start bulk production immediately.

Which file types and formats do you accept?

We accept high-resolution badge artwork in JPEG, PNG, or PDF formats. If you use another format, let us know, and we’ll guide you through the correct way to prepare your file for production.
